Esat Digifone Lead the Way for Mobile Data in Ireland

Esat Digifone announce the launch of a new mobile data software solution in association with Brand Communications (UK)

The "Brand Apollo" solution, which offers the ultimate in mobile data software solutions, is another first in the Irish market. It will be available initially to Digifone CPN (Corporate Private Network) Customers in the coming weeks.

The "Brand Apollo" software is the leading GSM data connection solution. It will make it faster, easier and cheaper for Digifone customers to use the DigiData service (sending data over the Digifone GSM network). Dial up times to the service will now take just 6/8 seconds, where previously it could take up to 30 seconds to make a connection. All calls will now be charged at the Digifone to Digifone low rate of 12.5p per minute, compared to 25p. The software can be quickly and effortlessly installed to an individual’s PC or laptop.

Customers availing of the new service will only be charged for the actual duration of the data call made. This is a significant convenience to customers who currently have to log in every time they wanted to send data or alternatively incur high usage charges by remaining on line. In addition, all calls are automatically re-connected in the event of a dropped call.
